5. Hope for 2021

In this episode I answer the question "What was hard this year and how do I hope onto hope?" It's a question that was first posed to me by another behavior analyst, Jessica Zielske, who had invited me onto an Instagram live talk with 7 other behavior analysts.

In answering this question, I talked about where I started last year--pregnant and hopeful for the future--and go from there. I talk about the struggles I had personally and professionally, how COVID changed my plans for the future, and then I bring it all back to this question; how do you hold onto hope...when things get hard? And, what is hope anyway? Is there a kind of hope that brings us closer to the life we want or simply away from what's hard?

***Please be aware that I talk about a miscarriage in this episode. If this is a topic that you find difficult to listen to, please practice self-compassion and skip this episode for now until you're ready to hear it in full.***

Finally, I want to say that I don't have a guest for this epsiode--rather, I share my thoughts on this year and my personal experience. In the new year I will plan on sharing more stories of transformation and change. If you are interested in sharing one of your stories, please reach out to me by going to my contact page or writing me an email at gabbie@actinspiredbehavior.com

I'd love to hear from you!
